COMBI COMFORT – Humidifier/Cooler HEPCC


The HomEvap Combi Comfort humidifier acts as a basic cooler. It has a built - in controller that automatically controls both humidity and cooling. An additional advantage is that on really hot days it is possible to get extra cooling by activating the humidifier!


Operating principle:

The humidifier must be installed on the supply air duct after the air handling unit. If the supply air humidity is lower than the one set in the controller, humidification will start. The principle of operation is as follows: The air handling unit heats the incoming outdoor air, as a result of which the relative humidity decreases, the dry air enters the HomEvap, which, using the principle of water evaporation, raises the humidity to the value set in the controller. However, given the enthalpy line of the Molier diagram, the air cools down and air temperature compensation is required. Only when the air temperature falls below 17°C , the built - in electric PTC heater activates. In this case, the maximum wetting capacity is 3 kg/h. The amount of water consumed is precisely controlled by economical water consumption software.

Indirect cooling:

The extract air is cooled, thus cooling the heat exchanger (recuperator) of the air handling unit, which becomes cold. The warm outdoor air is cooled before it is introduced into the room by flowing through a cool heat exchanger. This function is activated when the outside temperature rises above 18°C and there is a demand for air cooling.

Direct cooling:

The HomEvap humidifier is placed on the supply air duct behind the air handling unit. It only starts when the outside air temperature is too high and the value set in the controller is lower than the temperature measured at home. Excessive humidification is prevented by a combined duct - type humidity/temperature sensor. This function is activated when the outdoor temperature rises above 22°C and is in demand.

HomEvap Cooler operates in a limited range of air productivity, exceeding it may affect its efficiency in cooling and humidifying the temperature.

User safe:
 
Thanks to the patented, built - in LegionSafe water filter, there is no risk of multiplication of legionella bacteria. Before the water enters the humidifier matrix, it passes through a LegioSafe filter, which makes it completely safe for the occupants of the building. Only fresh water should be used. If there is no need to humidify the air, the matrix is ​​completely dry. The included SHC80 duct sensor measures the relative humidity and duct temperature in the dehumidifier. The sensor guarantees the best efficiency and safe operation so that there are no condensation forms in the duct behind the humidifier.
 
The built - in electric PTC air heater has several protections:
 
1. Mechanical safety protection that ensures that the air heater does not consume more electricity at the maximum temperature reaching 85°C.
 
2. Equipped with an additional temperature sensor that shuts off the air heater at too high temperature.
