The ReQnet CO2 / Hydro module measures the concentration of carbon dioxide and humidity in a building. This allows you to automatically operate the unit based on the air quality in the house. Designed for self - assembly inside the control panel.

Why do you need to control ventilation?

The main task of ventilation is to maintain the best possible air quality in the building. The main task of mechanical ventilation is to extract used building air and supply fresh air. However, the need for fresh air varies at different times of the day and changes throughout the day. Therefore, in order for ventilation to fulfill its basic function, its efficiency must be properly controlled.

Poor ventilation control and its effects?

If the air exchange in the room is too low, the concentration of carbon dioxide and other pollutants increases. This will ultimately lead to a significant deterioration in air quality, which will have a negative impact on the well - being and health of the population.

So why not ventilate more?

Excessive ventilation of the premises in winter will cause a rapid decrease in humidity, which will negatively affect the comfort of life. Exchanging air beyond what is necessary, mainly:

  • Will cause too dry air during the winter
  • Will cause more heat loss
  • Filters filters faster
  • Will promote higher fan energy consumption
  • Will make more noise

How to ventilate properly?

When installing a ventilation unit in a house, it is usually used manually or according to a weekly schedule in which we define with what capacity the unit will operate at each time of day. In practice, however, most people use only the manual mode, as it is difficult to predict, for example, when and how many people will be at home. However, the human nose is not very sensitive, and we cannot, for example, determine the concentration of carbon dioxide in the air. It depends on our mood, concentration and how we slept at night. That's why manual control is so popular.

What is the solution?

The solution is automatic control based on what is going on in the building. The CO2 / Hydro module is specifically designed for automatic and highly accurate fan speed control without user intervention.

How does automatic control work?

When you breathe, you consume oxygen and produce carbon dioxide. Based on this, the system analyzes what is happening in the household and operated according to a special algorithm. When CO2 increases in the house, the unit automatically increases the fan speed according to the concentration level. The module also recognizes that, for example, we are preparing to eat, take a shower or hang wet laundry, which increases the humidity level in the room. All this is due to the fact that the system measures the average humidity in the room and can respond to even minimal changes in humidity at any time of the year.

Is one sensor enough or do you need several sensors?

Is it possible to control the efficiency of the recuperator by knowing only the average air quality value at home? Yes of course! This is much more difficult, but thanks to a specially developed algorithm, it is possible with our sensor much more accurately than with any other manufacturer. Self - calibrating CO2 / Hydro sensors are very expensive, so their installation in every room is economically unreasonable.

How does the recuperator know that the CO2 concentration is higher in one room and lower in another?

The ReQnet algorithm recognizes rising and falling CO2 levels throughout the building! As the whole house is ventilated, the concentration stabilizes and its level decreases. Therefore, the module analyzes the parameters and selects an operating algorithm to achieve the best possible conditions in all rooms.

So what do we get from automatic performance monitoring?

  • Energy savings - the recuperator works according to what is happening at home
  • Autonomous operation - after all, we do not have to think every day about how to control the operation of the equipment
  • Higher air quality at home - it increases the comfort and health of life
