ReQnet constant flow module allows automatic balancing of supply and exhaust air flows. Designed for self - assembly inside the control panel.
The module allows to automatically balance the ventilation system during the operation of the recuperator, adjusting the operation of the fans to the current resistance on the supply and exhaust side of the ventilation system. After connection and activation, it is possible to see the current operation of the device "m³/h".
Why are airflows always different?
Due to the different design of the supply and exhaust air duct systems, the flow resistances will always differ. The degree of contamination of the filters, the possible contamination of the recuperator, as well as the headwind that can blow into the air ducts through the inlet / outlet grilles can cause different resistance of the air flows.
If the air flow is unbalanced, two cases can occur:
1) If the supply air flow is higher than the extract air, this will cause overpressure in the building. This reduces the heat recovery efficiency of the recuperator during the winter period, as more cool air flows into it, than the warm exhaust air is extracted at that moment. In addition, the overpressure "squeezes" the warm air of the building through the gaps in the house
2) If the exhaust air flow is higher than the supply air, it will cause negative pressure in the building. As a result, cold, unfiltered outside air will enter the house through the slots, which will lead to the cooling of the premises and an increase in the demand for heating
What does balanced airflow give?
The constant airflow module is mainly designed to save energy, as the airflows are balanced, which facilitates the correct operation of the unit with the maximum efficiency of the recuperator, thus reducing the energy demand for home heating.
What does the SP (constant flow) module do?
The module measures the actual system pressure on the inlet and outlet side by changing the fan operating parameters so that the amount of inlet and outlet air is the same at the moment. The accuracy provided by this module cannot be achieved by manual parameter adjustment.
