Rotenso Wentilo ICON IT450 E4 is a powerful central ventilation unit with heat and moisture recovery, designed to provide fresh air in residential and other buildings. The unit provides an airflow of up to 450 m³/h at 300 Pa external static pressure, making it suitable also for ventilation systems with more complex and longer duct runs.

Rotenso Wentilo – a modern ventilation system range

Wentilo is Rotenso's range of ventilation and heat recovery solutions. It is based on the concept of combining efficient air exchange, heat and moisture recovery, air filtration and intelligent ventilation control in one system. Wentilo ICON is the heat recovery ventilation platform within this range, offering units with different capacities and configurations, including the IT450 E4.

Rotenso ventilation units incorporate several proprietary technologies designed for different aspects of ventilation system operation – from air filtration and heat recovery to frost protection, airflow control and real-time filter condition monitoring.

Wentilo ICON uses the iNOFRAME technology platform. The unit's construction is made of EPP material, which provides a lightweight structure while also serving as thermal insulation and protective casing material. The construction features an aerodynamic airflow duct geometry designed to help reduce airflow resistance.

The advantages of the iNOFRAME construction include low unit weight, effective thermal insulation, high impact resistance, water resistance and recyclability.

Efficient Heat and Moisture Recovery

The IT450 E4 is equipped with an airENTHALPY heat exchanger, which recovers not only heat but also moisture from the extract air. This is particularly important during the heating season, when ventilation can contribute to indoor air becoming too dry.

The manufacturer specifies a maximum heat recovery efficiency of up to 96%, while the efficiency at nominal airflow is 79%.

Multi-Stage Air Filtration and airCare+

Wentilo ICON uses the iCARE air filtration system, which combines several filtration stages. The IT450 E4 configuration includes a G4 ISO Coarse 75% pre-filter and an F7 ePM1 70% filter for supply air, while extract air is filtered using an M5 ePM10 55% filter.

For additional protection, the unit features an airCare+ antibacterial coating. This is one of the Wentilo ICON solutions designed to promote a more hygienic internal environment within the unit.

Intelligent Ventilation Control

The IT450 E4 is equipped with the iEDGE SMART control system. The Wentilo platform also supports intelligent control and sensor solutions that allow ventilation operation to be adjusted according to actual demand. For example, iSENSOR technology uses data from CO₂ and humidity sensors to adjust airflow according to how the rooms are used.

The iCONNECT app is also available for controlling the unit, allowing users to connect to the Wentilo system, configure its settings and manage its operation.

Frost Protection

In cold weather, the heat exchanger is protected by the iHEAT system with a built-in preheater. It automatically heats the supply air to reduce the risk of heat exchanger frosting and maintain stable unit operation at low outdoor temperatures.
